Paul's Galatians Attack on God's Law (Uses Peter in a Bait & Switch)
Join Doug for a podcast discussion which occurred Sun, Feb. 23, 2025 on the JesusNotPaul/Acts channel where Doug will take you through the Satanic fallacies and false teachings in Pauls Epistle to the Galatians. Written to an audience who he must have believed did not know enough Torah or very much of what Jesus taught, he begins by trying to convince the Galatians that if anyone preaches anything other than what he brings they are cursed, and then proceeds to brag that he received his knowledge from none other than Jesus (through spiritual means) and that he did not take his doctrines from any man. Interestingly enough, before Jesus ascended into heaven he told the apostles to go preach to the nations whatsoever He had (already) commanded them. By the very nature of Jesus' commission it would require that Paul would hear the true Gospel from SOMEONE ELSE who would teach all of what Jesus had said, done and taught, and then he would be able to share it. Instead, Paul receives a false and contradictory lie-spell (not gospel) to what Jesus brought and tries to foist this on all of southern Eurasia! And in this epistle to the Galatians he brags that he stood up to none other than Peter, who, Paul claims, had dissembled himself from uncircumcised converts to faith in Jesus to eat at tables only with circumcised. If Peter and the crew sent from James in fact did this, their disassembling would have been wrong, and well, against both the Torah and the teachings of Jesus. But instead of criticizing the behavior, Paul uses the moment as a means of denigrating God's law! This is the bait and switch. In reality, it's not that circumcision was wrong, what was wrong was that Peter and the group separated themselves without first teaching the new converts that yes, you must be circumcised according to Genesis 17, and that by the way, the procedure is not a big deal but the resulting covenant you make with the Father IS! Instead, Paul takes the opportunity to tell the Galatians that they are bewitched and under a curse if they do get circumcised (something he had done to Timothy himself! Acts 16). if it's so bad, Paul, to circumcise and follow the Father's law, why oh why, according to Acts 21, are Hebrew Believers in Jesus still required to do so? How can Paul be right that it's so evil to circumcise and keep the law and that if you do so it will make what Jesus did for us of none effect when the Hebrew Believers ARE STILL REQUIRED TO DO SO? These questions, and more addressed in this episode. Hope you'll take a gander!
