Jesus Instills Faith/Trust in the Father as Provider; Paul Instills Fear

One thing you can be sure about Paul's writings: you can cherry pick from them all sorts of ideas on the same overarching subject and come up with multiple, even contradicting, viewpoints. For example, when it comes to the subject of money and provision, Paul wrote to Timothy, “For the love of money is the root of all evil:” (Is the love of money, or pride, the root of evil?  Satan's first sin was pride, which led to greed, but I digress.) In the midst of Paul's admonition, he says we ought to be content with our circumstances  and not be concerned with becoming rich, which can lead to a snared life and perdition. This passage, in my view, contains many truths that coincide with what our attitude should be toward money and provision.  Being content and grateful in any circumstance, not worrying for tomorrow, trusting the Father for today as Jesus taught in Matthew 6, is by all means the best place to be spiritually and psychologically when it comes to walking through this...

Jesus is Magnified in (But Paul/Acts are Exposed by) the Torah/Prophets

Join Doug for a podcast which occurred Sun, Feb. 16, 2025 on the JesusNotPaul/Acts channel where he will go through many of the prophecies from the Torah/Prophets which predict a coming Messiah, all of which Jesus fulfills.  He will also go over many of the Torah/Prophets scriptures Jesus (or the Gospels) directly sited.  Again, the question must be asked, why oh why would James (and Peter) in Acts 15 send the new, baby, wobbly-baby-deer-legged, Gentile converts to unbelieving Jewish synagogues to learn Torah when Jesus constantly taught from the Torah/Prophets Himself? Why wouldn't the apostles do the same and teach Jesus from the law?  (The answer is, Acts 15 is a completely false narrative in which these words and actions which are attributed to the apostles, including Peter, DID NOT OCCUR). Can Gentile Converts Go to Unbelieving Synagogues to Learn Torah? (Acts 15:21)

Join Doug for a podcast discussion from Wed, Feb. 12, 2025 on the JesusNotPaul/Acts channel on how literally insane the Acts 15 narrative is, in that it has James (and Peter) saying that if the Gentile converts wanted to learn the law they could go to synagogues in every city to hear Moses preached.  The implications of this were that the preaching of Jesus had nothing to do with the writings of Moses, even though Jesus taught HIMSELF from the law and the prophets all throughout His ministry!  Peter even saw Moses (and Elijah) come from eternity to speak with Jesus at the Mount of Transfiguration!  The apostles also heard all of Jesus's preaching with regard to the law and the prophets and that not one jot or tittle would be done away with until all is fulfilled!  How then could Peter really have called the law a yoke to be put on the Gentiles???  How could James have said the law was troubling to them when in fact JESUS IS THE LAW.  Doug will show just how...
